Shuttletime
After School and School Holiday Programs for Juniors
Shuttle Time is the Badminton World Federation’s Schools/Clubs Badminton Programme. This programme aims to make badminton one of the world’s most popular sports in schools and clubs. The BWF Shuttle Time Programme is designed for children:
- Of all ages and abilities to be successful in developing badminton skills
- To learn basic badminton skills through the activities in the lessons and
- To develop physical skills while learning badminton through the activities in BWF Shuttle Time
We offer a variety or programmes around the greater Christchurch area on a term by term basis and sessions are run by our qualified Shuttle Time Coaches. Children are welcome to come along for a free trial to see if it is something they are interested in.
Please note the sessions are suitable for ages 8 plus.
All participants should have suitable footwear and a water bottle. Non-marking footwear is essential for our Wigram based session out of the Zhu Badminton Centre
The second component of the BWF Shuttle Time Programme is based around educating and developing more adults to deliver the BWF Shuttle Time programme in a school/club or association setting. COVID 19 – additional information
- If your child is unwell they are not to attend the session – this includes runny nose, sore throat, cough and headache.
- If the coach is unwell, the session may be cancelled – please ensure you check for email updates (including your junk email folder) prior to dropping your child off as you will be notified by email if the session is cancelled.
