Badminton Hall Lighting Card - Frequently Asked Questions

A Badminton Hall Lighting Card allows for 24/7 365 days a year access to Christchurch’s dedicated Badminton Hall. You can use your card to book courts at any time*, use your card to enter Badminton Hall and the lights will automatically light your court to play badminton. To register for a card, simply fill in the online form here, pay the $20 card fee and organise to pick your card from the office. Top-up your card online via credit card and you are ready to book a court through the easy to use online system or you can scan your card at the computer in the Hall Foyer and book it directly.

*Please note officiated Badminton Canterbury Events have priority use of these facilities.

How much does it cost?
A Badminton Hall Lighting Card costs $20 to register. The latest rates for court hire can be found on the Pricing Page.

How do you register for a Badminton Hall Lighting Card?
Simply fill in the online form, you can pay by credit card, Paypal, Direct Debt or by cash.

What happens next?
Our office will contact you once your card is ready and organise a time for you to collect. We will need to verify your ID and give you a brief introduction to the use of the system.

How do you book a court?
Once you have your card, either login online via our website using the “Book a Court” link or use the Computer in the foyer of Badminton Hall.

What is my username and password?
When issued, your card contains a 6 digit number, this is your username to login to website. Please remember the password you used when registering for this card.

I forgot my password what can I do?
Please contact the office on 03 3898534 or email office@badmintoncanterbury.com to reset your password.

How do I top-up my card?
The preferred method is to top-up online. Log in via our website using “Book a Court”  link and select “topup” from the menu. An alternative method is to provide cash to the office during office hours.
